Zylkene is a natural product, derived from casein, the protein in milk.

Since its launch in April 2008 Zylkene has been used in many common situations which our pets find difficult. Vets Behaviourists, nurses and pet owners have all found Zylkene to be a valuable support for helping pets cope with difficuly situations.

Dosage:

• Cat 1 x 75mg Capsule daily
• Large cat / Small dog Under 10Kg 2 x 75mg Capsules Daily
• Dogs between 10kg & 20Kg 1 x 225mg Capsule Daily
• Dogs between 20Kg & 40Kg 1 x 450mg Capsule Daily
• Dogs over 40Kg 2 x 450mg Capsules Daily.

How to use Zylkene

Zylkene only needs to be administered once daily and is very easy to give. Simply open the capsule and mix the palatable powder with your pet's usual food or a favorite treat. The powder is water souble so easily mixes with liquids such as milk, cream, gravy or the oil from a tin of tuna.

For big dogs, some owners prefer to five the capsule whole e.g. hidden in a piece of cheese. However, most pepole find mixing the powder with their pet's dinner is the easiest option.

Start supplementation with Zylkene 1-2 days before required, so before fireworks season begins or prior to a kennel or cattery stay. However, our pets are often very clever at associating 'cues' with consequences. For example your dog or cat may learn that seeing you pack a suitcase leads to a stay in the kennel or cattery. In this situation, ideally Zylklene would be started the day before the suitcase appeared. Zylklene can also be fed for 1-2 months for longer-term scenarios.
