Bayer Drontal Plus XL 48 Tablets

Drontal Plus XL Tablets (175 mg praziquantel, 504 mg pyrantel embonate and 525 mg febantel).

Both Drontal Plus Flavour and Drontal Plus XL are a combined roundworm and tapeworm treatment for dogs and puppies.

Tablets for the treatment of roundworms and tapeworms of large dogs

Each tablet contains 175mg praziquantel (Ph. Eur.) and 504mg pyrantel embonate and 525mg febantel.

Worms controlled include:
Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late immature forms)
Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults).
Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adults).
Tapeworms: Echinococcus species, Taenia species, Dipylidium apecies (adult and immature forms)

Dosage:

ONE DOSE EVERY 3 MONTHS

Give 1 tablet per 35kg bodyweight, plus 1 Drontal Plus Tablet for additional 10kg bodyweight. The tablets can be given directly to the dog or disguised in food. No starvation is needed before, or after treatment.

Contra-indications:

• Do not exceed recommended dose when treating pregnant bitches.
• Do not use simultaneously with piperazine compounds.
• Consult a veterinary surgeon before treating pregnant bitches for roundworms.
• Tapeworm infestation is certain to re-occur unless control of intermediate hosts such as fleas, mice etc is undertaken.
• In the interests of good hygiene, persons administering the tablets to directly to the dog, or by adding them to the dog's food, should wash their hands afterwards.
• For animal treatment only
• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
• Do not remove tablets from the strip packing until required for use.
• Any part-used tablets should be discarded.
• Do not use after expiry date.
